PowerVizor process monitoring system

Currently, the ability to remotely monitor the technological process and analyze the key parameters of its operation has become mandatory and customary at many large enterprises. This approach is now called the digitalization of production – it is used to improve processes in production, monitor the impact of personnel on the efficiency of work, and calculate economic indicators. It helps managers and owners of large businesses to make the right managerial decisions in a short time and with maximum accuracy. The basis for such decisions – information about all factors affecting the production process – is made available online in a user-friendly form.

PowerVizor: basic modules

Since 2019 our engineers and programmers have been working on the creation and integration of the solution for the digitalization of production, and now we are ready to offer the industrial sector a high-quality, debugged and modern modular system PowerVizor.
Reliability and continuity of the main part of the system which is an online system with WEB access is provided by AWS technologies, on the computing power of which we base our solutions. Although AWS is not a required platform for PowerVizor deployment, we find it optimal both in terms of usability and scalability, as well as in terms of computing power rental costs.

The easy integration and modularity of the system are some of the main benefits of PowerVizor, which allows customization for each manufacturer: whether it is a thermal power plant, a bakery, a chemical production or an agricultural holding company. The PowerVizor system currently includes the following modules:

  • “Technological monitoring” is used to determine the current operational state of the equipment, technical and technological parameters of production, with the possibility of their display on graphs and transfer to the module “Analysis of measurements”. This will allow real-time display of operating equipment parameters on intuitive video frames: flow, temperature, pressure, electrical and thermal load. The interface of the program in graphical and tabular form will display the actual performance of the equipment for each hour, day, month, as well as the planned indicators and the standard.
  • The “Personnel Performance Evaluation” module is designed both to automatically perform calculations and analysis of equipment operation modes, and to evaluate the effectiveness and correctness of decisions made by the personnel of the production enterprise. If the level of automation at the enterprise is incomplete and requires periodic or constant intervention of employees in the process, this module will help to trace the degree of influence of personnel on production. The module is based on mathematical modeling of the technological process and comparing the actual results with the calculated ones. Very effective is the factor of openness: all levels of employees of the enterprise can have access to data and see how their work affects the results obtained by the team. The results of the module can be used to gamify the production process, develop a system of key indicators, continuously record all violations, calculate bonuses/fines.   • The Planning module is designed to help management simulate the situation of the desired use of resources and raw materials. It helps not only to build a scenario and plan the resources of the enterprise, but also to interact with suppliers, buyers, and logistics.

Reliability of data storage in the PowerVizor system

Centralized processing, storage and automated data analysis, as well as a unified, simple and convenient information display system form a powerful tool for analyzing the technical, technological and economic condition of individual equipment and the company as a whole. At the same time, all functions are performed in the software running in the cloud.

  • Access to module functionality is granted only to authorized users based on their service credentials, and based on the category of information requested
  • The system includes a specialized subsystem for data backup and recovery, customized for each module due to the criticality of data being processed
  • A subsystem of security and configuration allows for a high level of safety and comfort for users working with PowerVizor

The subsystem ensures safety of all available information in case of failures, and in case of absence of IAS connection to the enterprise server (cloud computing subsystem) the system forms a backup archive of the enterprise operation data, which is transferred to PowerVizor after communication resumption.
